0.00001 food miles. We are proud to be a little bit different. Green Cow menus showcase the food that is produced and foraged from the land around us. Throughout the seasons, the chefs forage for wild garlic, hedgerow berries, damsons, plums, apples, pears, puff balls, elderflower and more...

How to host a successful corporate event

We can't wait for the grand opening of Crumplebury.

At Crumplebury, it’s not just weddings we’re excited to host. We can’t wait to support delegates who come to visit us, providing a tranquil location to discuss business plans – or, alternatively, a fun and sophisticated atmosphere for a corporate party. Whatever the purpose of our guests’ business visit, we’re delighted to be able to provide catering services and a highly versatile venue with accommodation to suit.

Corporate events are great opportunities for any business to encourage creativity and innovation amongst the workforce. Often, all that’s needed is a day out of the office to spark new ideas and boost motivation levels.

Why do you want to host an event?

The first step to hosting a successful corporate event is establishing the purpose behind it. Are you looking to improve employee relationships, or do you want your workforce to contribute more creative ideas to the business? This makes the planning of the event significantly easier, since you can decide on the type of activities that you want to book.

What’s your budget?

Once you’ve established the reasoning behind your event, you want to secure a set budget. In order to gain return on investment, you’ll need to make sure you’re spending within your means – so spend some time doing research around the amenities that you can realistically afford.

Arrange for a sit-down meal

Corporate events and away days are fun, yet often tiring, for employees – so it’s essential you have a good meal organised. At Crumplebury, our dedicated chefs work with local and seasonal ingredients to create delicious plates that provide the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

Organise team building activities

Team building activities are great for improving both personal and business relationships between employees; whether you opt for wine tasting, a treasure hunt or outdoor activities.  Whilst encouraging teamwork, these activities allow employees to improve their problem solving and social skills – all of which are essential for the workplace.

Look for a countryside spot

To gain the maximum benefits from your corporate away day, you’ll want to ensure that it takes place in a quiet location, free from distractions. Located 1.5 miles down a private farm track and nestled in rural Herefordshire, at Crumplebury, our guests can expect few intrusions – unless their heads are turned in delight by the natural surroundings.

If you feel your team’s morale and motivation levels need a boost, then a corporate event or away day could be just what you need. We can’t wait to start welcoming delegates to our brand new events venue, opening in autumn 2019.
