0.00001 food miles. We are proud to be a little bit different. Green Cow menus showcase the food that is produced and foraged from the land around us. Throughout the seasons, the chefs forage for wild garlic, hedgerow berries, damsons, plums, apples, pears, puff balls, elderflower and more...

About us

‘Crumplebury’ was the name of Whitbourne Estate’s old pigsty and out-buildings. Now it has been transformed into an exquisite space providing the perfect setting for weddings and events for guests looking for something out of the ordinary with a focus on culinary excellence, food provenance and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.

We’re passionate about great food and strive to create memorable experiences that revolve around the shared enjoyment of eating well. From formal tasting menus to woodland feasts, we’ll work with you to curate the perfect celebration. With a flair for farm-to-table dining, we’re proud to grow the cows ourselves.

Every member of the team is part of our extended family. However we’re related, we’re all united in working together to create the very best experience for our guests.

Crumplebury’s ethos is that every special occasion deserves to be memorable and unique, so the venue’s spaces have been carefully planned to accommodate different needs. The first floor ‘Art Gallery’ has stunning views, natural light, and an outdoor terrace ideal for a wedding ceremony, board meeting or drinks reception, while the glass-gabled Grand Hall can seat 200 for a formal banquet. The Drinking Trough, The Snug, and Green Cow Kitchens offer further options, as do the countless outdoor areas available on the fifteen-hundred-acre estate.
