Planning an English country wedding?

Say ‘I do’ to Crumplebury, and 1,500-acres of rolling Herefordshire are all yours for the most romantic of countryside weddings.

As relaxed or as formal as you like, in our spectacular spaces or outside in our woodlands, country weddings at Crumplebury are idyllic.

Toast to one more sleep with a barbecue on the banks of the Sapey Brook, sausages sizzling on the back of the farm Landy.

Gather your favourites for an intimate woodland supper party in the dappled shade of our ancient oaks, tables laden with exceptional food and drink, candles flickering amongst the trees and live piano music filling the air.

Surrounded by nature, make your vows under big skies with farm fields and wildflower meadows at your feet.

Total seclusion in the English countryside

Hard to find, even harder to leave…

Architecturally-designed buildings, modern and indulgent, rise up from the ancient fields and woodlands of our historic family estate.

Away from prying eyes, a rural wedding at Crumplebury allows you to kick up your heels with your favourites in total seclusion in the glorious Herefordshire countryside.

Feast on homegrown food from our home farm, game shoot and kitchen garden, and celebrate the best day of your life in spectacular country style.

Close to home, yet a million miles away from the rat race, weddings at Crumplebury are luxurious, relaxed and elegant.

In every season, nature is all around

Marry indoors or out here, and you’ll always be surrounded by nature.

A glorious fusion of rustic charm and contemporary luxe, our buildings are a celebration of the landscape which surrounds us.

In all of our spaces, floor-to-ceiling glass blurs the line between inside and out – so whatever the great British weather is doing, you’ll breathe in breathtaking scenery.

Say ‘I do’ in the Art Gallery, wrapped in big skies and luscious farm fields, surrounded by the happy animals on our home farm.

It overlooks our romantic wild flower meadow, always abuzz with bees and butterflies.

Or tie the knot in the Grand Hall with spectacular views across the Kitchen Garden and ancient oak woodlands before the sun sets over the Sapey valley and the party of all parties begins.

Outdoor weddings

Marry outdoors in our magical outdoor ceremony space, deep in Longfield Wood.

In spring, carpets of native English bluebells lead the bride and groom and guests along a secret, winding path to a beautiful oak pagoda, hewn from centuries-old estate oak,.

In summer, the canopy offers the bridal party and cherished wedding guests welcome shade.

And in autumn, the changing colours of the leaves are like a painting.

Lay a carpet through the trees and make your entrance in bohemian country style, as your guests gather to share your vows on rustic benches, all built from native trees felled on the estate.

Organic, seasonal food

It’s all about the food – organic, seasonal and home-grown and, for the most part, with zero food miles.

Our herds of Shorthorn, Saler and Hereford cattle provide our estate beef; pork comes from our Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth pigs, lamb from our Lleyn flock.

In season, the gamekeepers deliver their quarry straight to the kitchen door.

And year-round, our Kitchen Garden gives up its bounty, from heritage salad crops to root vegetables and orchard fruits.

Settle on the terrace above our cutting garden for homemade cocktails, made from herbs harvested from the raised beds, and toast to your romantic country wedding, Crumplebury-style.

Romantic bedrooms

All of the bedrooms at Crumplebury are named after the farms and coppices on the estate.

And of all, the Oakley is the most romantic.

Double doors lead into a contemporary country sitting room, an antique record player to practise your first dance, vintage photographers’ lights and a solid oak dressing table big enough for the bride and all the bridesmaids.

Step through the sitting room door and you’ll discover a ginormous four-poster and a showstopping copper roll top bath, big enough for two.

An antique map on the wall shows you exactly where you are – take a romantic stroll to the Oakley coppice, just the two of you, to see where it all began.

The Crumplebury Takeover

Exclusively yours, gather your herd for a wedding celebration like no other.

From farm tours to clay shoots, cookery courses to 10-course tasting feasts, the Crumplebury Takeover is as unique as you are.

A humdinger of a celebration for you and your favourites, you’ll take over the whole site for three glorious days.

And the sky really is the limit.

Whatever your dream, we have the space and imagination to make it a reality.

Together, we’ll craft a unique and wonderful countryside wedding that’s entirely personal to you – call us to discuss bespoke options.

The Crumplebury Carbon Canopy

We strive to tread as lightly on the planet as we can.

Our food miles are as close to zero as we can get them. Waste wood from our biomass boiler heats and lights our buildings. We’re off-grid for water and we welcome electric cars with four EV chargers.

But we can always do more, and we encourage all of our couples to sign up to the Crumplebury Carbon Canopy.

It’s an ambitious tree-planting project in our ancient woodlands to offset the carbon emissions from our guests’ travel to us, whether that’s by plane, helicopter, train or car.

Talk to our team. We’re all ears.
